Women in Manufacturing Colorado and the Advanced Manufacturing Sciences Institute (AMSI) at Metropolitan State University of Denver invite you to learn how your organization can partner with higher education to strengthen recruitment activities with a diversity lens, provide upskilling opportunities to your employees, and develop student projects to help you solve business challenges.
The AMSI provides undergraduate students with real-world learning through state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and materials, soft skills through carefully chosen curriculum, and collaborations with industry to augment the development of skills, knowledge, and dispositions that enable graduates to immediately fill positions in a variety of advanced manufacturing sectors. The Advanced Manufacturing Sciences baccalaureate degree is a multi-disciplinary major that emphasizes both theoretical and practical applications providing students with a solid foundation in core skills, knowledge, and dispositions to facilitate employability in advanced manufacturing professional positions.
This event will include presentations from the AMSI Director; MSU Denver’s Classroom to Career Hub and Industry Partner, Lockheed Martin, followed by tours of the Lockheed Martin Additive Manufacturing Lab and the Hartwig, Inc. Advanced Manufacturing Lab. The evening will conclude with networking and refreshments.
