International Women's Day is a global day of celebration aimed at challenging stereotypes, fighting bias, broadening perceptions, and celebrating women's achievements. This year's International Women's Day program brings together a panel of current and past female members of the Virginia Manufacturing Association (VMA)'s Board of Directors, including the very first female board member, Mrs. Irma Smart, Retired President of Smart Machine Technologies.
In addition to being extraordinary women of industry, these leaders will share what it was like to break this glass ceiling and how each of them brought their knowledge and expertise into the board room to help shape the priorities and direction of VMA during their service.
