Gaskin Ally Award, otherwise known as the Ally Award, recognizes individuals who exemplify exceptional dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for women in manufacturing. This prestigious award celebrates those who actively champion diversity, break down barriers and advocate for meaningful change, demonstrating unwavering commitment to supporting and uplifting women in the industry.

  1. Significant Support - Recognizes individuals who have made substantial efforts to support and uplift women in manufacturing.
  2. Ongoing Advocacy - Celebrates those who consistently advocate for gender equality and women's advancement in manufacturing.
  3. Inspiration Through Action - Recognizes individuals whose actions and work inspire others to support women in manufacturing.

About William E. Gaskin

William (Bill) E. Gaskin, the first recipient of the Allies Award and the award's namesake, is President Emeritus of the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and a strong advocate for women in the industry. During his 42 year career at PMA, with 23 of those years serving as President, Bill helped to create the PMA Women in Metalforming group, which later served as the base for the Women in Manufacturing Association. His efforts as an ally have significantly paved the way for future generations of women in the industry. We thank Bill for his outstanding contributions as an ally and look forward to honoring more more allies in manufacturing!
