Jana M. Gessner, Global Vice President – Environmental, Health, and Safety for PepsiCo, is a globally seasoned EHS executive with an extensive Supply Chain / Manufacturing background with Fortune 500 companies. Her 25+ year career includes positions in: Automotive, CPG, Fleet/Logistics, Industrial Material/Chemical Manufacturing, and Supply Chain where she has delivered consistent results through strong leadership, technical knowledge, business acumen, and collaboration.
Jana’s subject matter expertise is development and deployment of global EHS management systems, strategic EHS process, cultural transformation, compliance assurance, and creating a zero-incident culture. Her in-depth experience assessing business needs, at all levels of the organization, and implementing robust EHS risk mitigation processes that are integrated into the business ensures the protection of people, public, and the planet while fostering a culture of EHS excellence throughout the organization.
Jana holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering (Environmental) from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo, the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credentials.
Ms. Gessner also leads STEM and Women in Operations ERG groups at PepsiCo and volunteers on the Board of Directors for Women in Manufacturing, Executive Board of the University of Toledo Alumni Association, and the Advisory Board for EHS programs at the University of Findlay.
In her spare time, Jana enjoys boating, hiking, horseback riding, photography, singing, and attending college football games and Broadway musicals.
