Professional Bio
Shauna Croom Bates is a wife, a mother to a busy little boy, a sister, a daughter and friend. She is Volume and Service Parts Planning and Central Control Room Assistant Manager for Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM). She has been employed with MTM since October 2019.
Prior to MTM, Shauna held several positions with Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Alabama (TMMAL), a supplier of engines for Toyota vehicles worldwide. Some of her roles included: Volume and Service Parts Planning Specialist, Customer Service and Packaging Specialist. Internal Logistics and Shipping and Receiving Group Leader. She worked for TMMAL for nearly 10 years.
In addition to her primary roles at TMMAL, Shauna held the title as President of TMMAL’s Team Member Activities Association, committee officer for Women’s Leadership Forum, Vice Chair for TMMAL’s African American Collaborative (AAC) and her final role was Chair of AAC.
Previously Shauna worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Crew Management Assistant Manager. She graduated with Honors from Ashford University where she received her dual Masters in Supply Chain Management and Human Resources. Shauna obtained a dual undergraduate degree in Marketing and Industrial Distribution from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Shauna is a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she serves as a mentor for the youth and serves on the Young Women’s Ministry. In her free time, Shauna enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her friends and family.
