As women, we tend to take on many of the responsibilities in the home. Our natural abilities can make it tempting to “do it all” ourselves, and lead to feeling overwhelmed. Family life changes constantly, so it is worth it to take a step back to examine the tasks and projects your family currently faces and take a fresh look at how you are managing your home. Let’s consider basic Project Management Principles and how they might apply to various areas of home life. Investing time in the planning phase pays dividends in the long run. Our children can be an overlooked part of our Project “Team”, but may require communication, delegation and leadership to really get on board. Defining scope, schedule and budget, and focusing on the truly important rather than urgent tasks, can ensure we are productively executing projects in our personal lives!

Join WiM Central Pennsylvania for a presentation from Katie McAllister on how you can apply basic Project Management Principles to your daily life and career.

Meet Our Presenter

Katie McAllister is a Certified Professional Organizer in York, PA. As a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), she has earned specialist certificates in Household Management, Residential Organizing, Life Transitions, and Workplace Productivity. She especially enjoys the moment in a follow-up session where a client proudly shows how they have maintained a space or routine that was put in place. As the new owner of a closet design and installation company (where she designed for the past 3 years), she has been surprised by the opportunities to create systems and routines around many new processes. As a homeschool mom of 3, and a member of the community, she has worn many hats, and loves a new challenge!
