Mind the Gap: Challenges Women in Manufacturing Face in their Personal Financial Plan and how to Overcome them.
Despite the significant financial contributions women make in the workplace daily, the journey to building personal wealth often starts from a disadvantaged position solely due to gender. Women's longer life expectancy and the impact of caregiving responsibilities on their income and savings underscore the persistent wealth gap.
Moreover, the gender pay gap persists, with women earning only 83 cents for every dollar earned by men (1). Despite that manufacturing and trades ranking among the highest-paying industries for women, median earnings for female professionals in these fields lag at approximately 70-82% compared to their male counterparts (2).
Recognizing the issues and styles specific to women, this workshop presents components of financial plans tailored for women in Manufacturing. Attendees will learn strategies aimed at fostering personal net worth gains to close their personal gender wealth gap for themselves and future generations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. RECOGNIZE GENDER SPECIFIC FINANCIAL CHALLENGES: Understand the unique challenges that women face in building wealth and the direct impact these challenges have on personal net worth. Gain clarity on why your financial strategy may differ from that of men in your life.
