ABOUT KRISTIE PICKERING
Vice President, Technical Expertise, BASF North America
With over 27 years of experience, Kristie has led various manufacturing and engineering teams, contributing to the successful startup of a new plant, developing an asset management team, and leading Utilities maintenance and production teams. She now leads the North American Technical Expertise Group.
Kristie is dedicated to supporting women in manufacturing and engineering roles. She mentors through BASF’s Female Leaders Advancing Manufacturing Excellence and was a co-chair of the ECC Future Leader Program. As Inclusion Champion for BASF’s Geismar site, she promoted diversity, equity, and inclusion. In 2021, she was recognized by The Manufacturing Institute as a STEP Ahead honoree, a national award for women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers across all levels of the manufacturing industry. Kristie serves on the LSU Engineering Diversity Advisory Board and the Ascension Chamber of Commerce Board.
Kristie holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette and an MBA from LSU. She resides in Louisiana with her husband and two sons.
