This session will address the common challenges individuals face when working with or for those from a different generation. Come prepared to share your generational challenges and consider options for adapting your behaviors to be more effective with all generations. Boxed lunch will be provided. Tours of MAGNET will be offered after the presentation.
Meet Our Presenter
Dixie Grow, President, Career Growth Associates
Dixie has over thirty years of experience as an educator, workforce development consultant, and women’s business owner. As the founder of Career Growth Associates, Inc., she has been the driving force behind the development and delivery of leadership/talent development programs and organizational development and performance improvement solutions.
As an organizational consultant, Career Growth assists organizations in assessing and addressing critical talent and performance challenges such: as leadership at all levels; talent performance, engagement and retention; and planning and managing organizational change.
Dixie’s professional preparation includes Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Vocational Education from Ohio University with post-graduate studies in human resource/leadership development. She is a certified employment consultant, career coach, and administrator of numerous organization and individual assessment tools,.
Her experiences range from individual counseling and coaching to designing and delivering global performance improvement programs for Fortune 500 companies. She and her team of specialists have provided learning and development solutions to a variety of organizations, such as: Adient, Apple, Bosch, Brembo, Brose, Cognizant, First Solar, Ford Motor Company, GM, Grohe, Henkel, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz Financial Services, Mettler Toledo, Nissan, UAW, MEA, Stepan, States of Arizona, Michigan, and Ohio and various government entities such as the Veterans Administration.
An active member in many professional organizations, Dixie has served as the President of the Michigan Association for Adult and Continuing Education and the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. As part of Career Growth’s community commitment, she frequently speaks to various professional and service groups. Dixie is the author of “Career MakeOver: Six Step Guide to a New Career” and provides career and performance coaching
