Join us for a plant tour of Thomas Erie, the second tour of our Open Doors for WiM series! Ever wonder how everyday products are made—especially the ones we don’t think about?
Join us for an inside look at the manufacturing process of aerosol valve housings—the small but critical components found in nearly every aerosol can. These often-overlooked yet essential parts are made right here in Erie County!

We'll be touring Thomas Erie, a 43,000-square-foot facility located in the quiet manufacturing hub of Girard, PA. The plant is equipped with:

-15 progressive stamping presses
-7 transfer stamping presses
-Lathe-cut gasket machines
-A degreasing machine
-A full tool room
-A dedicated sorting department

These specialized machines support the high-volume production of components for the aerosol and cosmetic container closure industry, with millions of valve closures produced daily. Approximately 40 employees keep this advanced operation running smoothly.
