6th annual Women in Automotive (WiA) Conference to offer automotive professionals substantial learni
More than 100 professionals in the automotive sector will gather in Troy, MI, on April 24, 2017, for the 6th annual Women in Automotive (WiA) Conference. The conference has been well-attended in previous years by professionals from companies like Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Chrysler, Magna International Inc. and Cooper-Standard Automotive.
Produced by Women in Manufacturing (WiM) in partnership with the Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF), the conference features keynote presentations from experts in the automotive industry as well as various networking opportunities.
Allison Grealis, founder and president of Women in Manufacturing, encourages women within the automotive sector workforce to attend this important program:
“With women comprising less than one-third of the automotive manufacturing labor work force, we must work together to ensure that women in automotive have the information and inspiration they need to advance their careers and lead their organizations. By staying up-to-date with the latest industry tips and trends, you will distinguish yourself as a leader within the automotive space and pave the way for others to follow.”
Just one of the accomplished keynote presenters that will be speaking at the Women in Automotive conference is Elizabeth Griffith, Director of Engineering – GM Global Interior Systems at Faurecia North America. Beyond her many professional accolades, Griffith was named one of the “100 Leading Women in Automotive” by Automotive News in both 2005 and 2015. She also champions various women in automotive groups, inspiring women to join STEM fields and careers.
We encourage registering early, as the conference has sold out in previous years. For the complete agenda, to register and for sponsorship opportunities visit: www.womeninmanufacturing.org/events/wia
