Chapter Connection | Volume IX, Issue III

WiM's more than 20 active Chapters around the country provide local opportunities for members to network, share best practices and industry information, and engage the communities in which they're located. At SUMMIT 2019, nearly 50 Chapter leaders were able to connect in-person for the first time during a special workshop held exclusively for them. 

At the 9th annual WiM SUMMIT, Chapter leaders convened for a two-hour workshop to swap best practices, share success stories, and get to know one another. 

Facilitated by WiM's president as well as the chapter and membership development coordinator, attendees participated in intimate roundtable discussions. Each table consisted of experienced and newer Chapter leaders representing different Chapters. 

Attendees primarily discussed Chapter development and expansion, past programs that they've held and future events in the pipeline, and recommendations for how to operate more efficiently and effectively. Each group then presented their findings and feedback to everyone in attendance at the workshop.

WiM National also gave an update on association-wide initiatives and development plans.

With nearly 80 events held so far within a six-month timeframe, Chapters are poised and prepared for tremendous growth, and we look forward to celebrating their future successes!
